Characteristics of Polyester Fabric in Apparel Fabric Application

Polyester fabric is a kind of chemical fiber clothing fabric. In order to understand what polyester fabric is, from the characteristics of polyester fabric, there are five aspects as follows.

First, the elasticity of polyester fabric is very strong. Repeated rubbing of polyester cloth will soon restore its original shape without leaving any wrinkles. This is beyond the reach of other fabrics. From this point of view, the shirt made of polyester fabric is durable, wrinkle-resistant and ironing-free. Polyester is indeed a rare coat fabric.

Secondly, the moisture absorption of polyester fabric is poor. The shirt made of polyester fabric does not absorb sweat very much. It is simple to wear and has the feeling of hot and airtight. It is easy to carry static electricity and dust together. But this also has the advantage that the clothes made of polyester fabric are not easily deformed and simple to dry after washing.

Thirdly, the heat resistance of polyester fabric is excellent. It can be said that polyester has good heat resistance and plasticity in chemical fibre fabrics. If it is made into pleated skirts, it can adhere to pleats perfectly without too much ironing. Together, polyester fabrics have poor melting resistance and are easy to burn out holes when they meet Mars, so special attention must be paid to wearing them.

Fourthly, the light resistance of polyester fabric is better. The clothes made of polyester cloth are generally comparable to those made of natural fibers and are more resistant to sunlight. So, it's basically no problem to expose polyester shirts to the sun. Don't worry about any side effects. This feature makes the light resistance of polyester fabric almost equal to that of acrylic fabric.

Fifth, the chemical resistance of polyester fabric is outstanding. The shirts made of polyester cloth are not damaged by acid or alkali, so some bleaching agents and oxidants do not work on their base, and polyester clothes are not afraid of mold and moth. This feature also results in poor dyeability and relatively difficult dyeing of polyester fabric, but once dyed successfully, it is not easy to fade.
